ASB CRNA gives back by supporting Kenya Relief

Molly Shaw, Anesthesia Services of Birmingham CRNA is currently serving as the Medical Missions Coordinator, a volunteer role in which she organizes and coordinates Kenya Relief’s medical ministry. This year, she has been given the incredible opportunity to spend a total of three months in Kenya overseeing our medical clinic. She is schedule to return to Kenya later this summer.

Kenya Relief is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization that ministers to the physical and spiritual needs of the poor and destitute people of Kenya. The Kenya Relief medical ministry has performed more than 2,500 surgeries and treated more than 50,000 patients with free medicines. The Kenya Relief orphanage is home to 83 children and supports another 80+ children in boarding schools and home based care programs. Construction teams have built homes for more than a dozen widows and their families and drilled wells to provide clean water to 6 villages in remote areas of the country.
